Retaining Walls • Sheet Piling • Hardscaping • Erosion Control

Your shoreline is the foundation of your entire waterfront—when it fails, everything fails with it. At Mako Docks Inc., we design and create shoreline solutions that protect your property, improve access, and elevate the look, usability and value of your waterfront.

Our Shoreline Solutions

Sheet Pile

Sheet piling is one of the strongest shoreline stabilization methods available—ideal for properties where erosion is aggressive, soil is unstable, or long-term reliability matters most.

Benefits of sheet piling:

  • Long-lasting, structural shoreline protection
  • Creates clean, straight edges and improved dock/boat access
  • Helps prevent shoreline loss and washouts
  • Ideal for high-energy areas (waves, boat traffic, ice movement)

Structural Stone Shorelines

Sheet pile is not the only type of seawall available. Stone is a common material used for seawalls due to its natural look, and is generally preferred by most permitting agencies. The most common alternatives are Armourstone, Magnumstone, and Rip Rap.

Hardscaping and Waterfront Upgrades

A great dock deserves a shoreline that matches it. We install waterfront hardscaping that looks clean and performs season after season.

Options include:

  • Stone steps for access to the water
  • Landing pads and dock approaches
  • Shoreline transitions and seating areas
  • Integrated designs that complement your dock and/or boathouse

Creating Lasting Impressions: A Visual Tour of Mako Docks' Shoreline Projects

Built for Real Shorelines (Not “Perfect” Ones)

Signs You May Need Shoreline Work

    • Erosion is eating away at your bank each season
    • Your shoreline timbers are rotting or collapsing
    • Your wall is leaning, bulging, or sinking
    • You’re losing usable waterfront space
    • You want a cleaner shoreline edge and better access

Every property is different—soil conditions, wave exposure, water depth, access, and layout all determine what the right solution is. We approach shoreline work like we approach docks: site-specific design, built correctly the first time.
